The final cocktail creation of this theme is a celebration of the main findings of my project and double layered in more than one way. The top layer features tequila blanco diluted to a long drink, and the bottom layer is made with mezcal and chili-infused honey syrup, which packs a heat-inducing punch and fantastic smoky notes. For the details of its symbolism, you’ll have to stay tuned for the work to be published. But as you enjoy this final creation, be reminded of the hard work scientists put in to pushing our knowledge forward, friendships made on the way and how those friendships help us reaching our goals in the end.
As I raise a glass to toast the outcomes of the research, I am reminded of the beautiful complexity of the biological world and the joy of discovery. Whether you’re a fellow scientist, a cocktail enthusiast, or both, I invite you to explore these layers of flavor and reflection. Here’s to maturity, potential, and the exciting journey of science! Cheers!
